Follow The DreamFollow the Dream (FTD) is an Aspirant Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The program provides after-school tuition, individualised mentoring, and case management to assist and support these students through school, complete Year 12 and achieve a successful transition into university, training or meaningful post- school employment. Follow the Dream was established at Dianella Secondary College in 2018 and takes place two afternoons per week in the dedicated Follow the Dream space in the library. We utilise two additional learning areas next to the Follow the Dream room where tutors provide academic support to students after school. In the learning areas, students have access to laptops, subject specific textbooks and a range of other learning materials.
Supports The main aim of the program is to support aspirant Aboriginal students and Torres Strait Islander students through their secondary schooling and onto a positive post school pathway. This is achieved through the following support:
