Media is the study and practice of Mass Media Communication including Film, Television, Internet, Radio, Photography, Magazines and Newspapers. Students at Dianella Secondary College, learn how media is created and how it functions in society. In all years, students create their own media productions.
Students can enrol in 11 & 12 Media Production and Analysis at a General or ATAR level, depending on their future endeavours.
In 2017, Senior School Media student will have the option to complete a Certificate II in Media inline with the Media Production and Analysis course.
Year 7-10 students analyse and produce media elements such as audio recording, video, film, photography, stop motion animation, radio and music videos.
Students have the opportunity to enter their media productions in numerous competitions, as well as have them screened at the annual Arts Night. An after school Media Club is also run in conjunction with The Smith Family.
