Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As you would be aware, the situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to create a number of challenges for our school and the community. Like all schools, our main aim is to keep staff and students safe. From today, the Australian Government has announced that all organised and non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people will be cancelled. At this stage there is no plans to close schools. However, I have made the decision to cancel a number of school events as a precaution. This Wednesday’s parent afternoon will be cancelled. Teachers will call those parents if they have concerns regarding your child’s progress. Of course, you can call the teacher if you too have concerns. At this stage all non-essential events scheduled for term 1 and 2 will be either postponed or cancelled. As a school I ask that you exercise all normal precautions set by the WA Health Department.
Thank you for your support. As a school, we will continue to provide you with the latest information and communicate any new updates as events unfold. Wayne Austin Principal Dianella Secondary College 16 March 2020 Comments are closed.
