Interhouse Athletics Carnival 2017

The 2017 Dianella Secondary College Athletics carnival was a great and well enjoyed day. Everyone who participated seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed all the events, with lots of competitive, but positive vibes throughout. Speaking of competition, there were quite a few records broken with:

• Seba Ninagu breaking the Year 7 100m and 200m record with 14.71 seconds and 30.33 seconds respectively.
• Farida Elnami scored 4.21m breaking the Year 7 Long Jump and I
• Iligo Onesimo broke the Year 7 1500m record with 6.09minutes.

As House Captain, I am very happy with the efforts and participation of all houses. However, the winner of our Athletics Carnival goes to the very competitive house, Aquila, coming in with an overwhelming score of 2251 points! Congratulations to you, Aquila!

Thank you to all of the participants on the day, and a huge thank you to all of the helpers and teachers, as well as the Phys Ed staff and the event coordinator, Ms Rudrum. Without you, this day would not have been an all astounding success.
